SURF-ART
James Gardner is a self-taught artist who splits his time between the Midlands and West Wales. Having spent half his life surfing and sketching comic book art for his own pleasure on the mid Wales coastline he found himself land-locked near Birmingham. 3 years on James has continued painting and is now producing exciting works transposing the qualities of comics and pop art to the world of the ocean, from surfers to harbours his paintings have been sold across the UK.

RHiANNON ROBERTS
After graduating with a degree in Psychology from Cardiff University in June 2010, Rhiannon decided to build a career for herself as an artist, working from her studio in Ciliau Aeron, near Aberaeron. Using her vivid imagination and bright, vibrant colours, various scenery is painted with a fresh and modern twist, waves being an intrinsic element of all her paintings. Rhiannon hopes that her work, being so full of character and fun, will make others feel happy!

SYLVIA HUGHES-WILLIAMS
Sylvia qualified at Cardiff College of Art in the early 1970s and worked for several years as an Interior Designer and a Graphic Artist. Whilst her children were young she began working as a freelance painter and illustrator. Sylvia finds her inspiration in many ways, including the changing atmospheric landscape, people and life events, colour and texture, light and words. In her mixed media work Sylvia combines inspirational words with atmospheric painting and natural textures. She likes to experiment constantly with a variety of subjects and media and believes that a successful painting conveys an emotion which is passed on from the artist to the viewer and if she can move someone sufficiently to make them want to live with one of her paintings on their wall, the she has achieved something special. You can see more of her paintings if you visit her at The Model House Craft & Design Centre in the old Welsh hill town of Llantrisant, where she works from her studio.

HEARTS & CRAFTS
Gill Thomas walks for miles for her craft along the beaches of mid-west Wales. Specialising in driftwood pieces, once Gill has collected the driftwood she needs she then puts it through a cleaning process before assembling it into the gorgeous pieces she sells. As well as a variety of wall pieces Gill also makes driftwood mobiles with phrases or specific words burnt into the wood. Gill also extends her crafts to include rag wreaths and hanging hearts all of which are made using recycled material.

STEFANI FLOWER
Hidden in a village on the west Wales coast is some of the most brilliant quilting you will ever see. A wonderful variety of pieces in all sizes and themes, truly something for everyone. Thankfully these wonderful works of art along with secret pocket cushions, giant flower accessories and scented fabric pouches are making their way out into the world. Stefani not only makes these creations but runs clubs and workshops so that we can all have a go, look out for news of the monthly clubs and workshops on the website.
